Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
In short: we collect only what a raffle needs to work: names, email addresses and WhatsApp numbers of organizers and buyers, and the numbers each buyer picks. We use them to run the raffle and send transactional messages. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads on this site, and we never see the payments between buyers and organizers.

1. What we collect
If you organize a raffle:
- Your name, email address, WhatsApp number and password (stored encrypted as a hash, never in plain text).
- What you publish: the prize photos and description, price, board size, draw date and method, and the winning number.
- The payment handle and QR code you choose to show your buyers (for example your Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or PayPal), and your sellers’ names if you use them.
- If you buy a plan: the plan, the amount and the payment status. PayPal processes the payment; we don’t receive or store your card or bank details.
If you buy numbers:
- Your name, WhatsApp number and, on Activated or Premium raffles, your email address.
- The numbers you picked, their status (on hold, paid or released) and, if you came through a seller’s link, that seller.
Automatically: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our servers log to keep the site working and to prevent fraud and abuse.
2. How we use it
- To run the raffle: show the board, hold numbers under a buyer’s name, let the organizer confirm payments and record the winner.
- To send transactional emails: account emails (such as password resets), order notifications to organizers, and reminders to buyers before a hold expires. We don’t send marketing emails without your permission.
- To let the organizer contact you. When you hold numbers, the organizer of that raffle sees your name, WhatsApp number and (if given) email, so they can confirm your payment and reach you if you win.
- To provide support, keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and comply with the law.
3. Who sees your data
- The organizer of a raffle sees the contact details and numbers of that raffle’s buyers. Organizers are responsible for using that information only for their raffle.
- The public sees the raffle page: prize, organizer name, board and which numbers are taken. Buyers’ contact details are never shown publicly.
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting and email provider, and PayPal for plan payments, under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people from fraud or harm.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
- Session cookie to keep you logged in while you use the site, and an optional “remember me” cookie if you choose it at login.
- A small cookie that remembers that this browser already has an account, and an anonymous random ID we use to count how many people finish creating a raffle (it contains no name, email, phone or IP).
- Your cart (the numbers you picked) is saved in your browser’s local storage until you complete or clear it.
We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this site. You can delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, you’ll be logged out.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Raffle and order records are kept after the draw so organizers and buyers can check results and so we can handle questions, disputes and legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless we need to keep some of it to comply with the law or resolve a dispute.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update your account details from your dashboard. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you non-essential emails, by contacting us (see below). Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Virginia, Colorado and others), you may have additional privacy rights; we honor those requests as required by law and won’t treat you differently for using them. If you bought numbers in a raffle, the organizer of that raffle also has your details: contact them directly for anything about their own records.
7. Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored as hashes, and access to personal data is limited to what’s needed to run the service. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong password and don’t share it.
8. Children
Rifa Ya is only for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For privacy questions or requests, message us on WhatsApp at +57 316 874 7515. See also our Terms of Service.
